Line Committee
The Line Committee (Liniecommissie) for the New Dutch Waterline National Project is a committee run by the Ministery of Economic affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The minister is responsible for the direction and coordination of the entire Line. The minister also establishes the content of the spatial vision document “het Linieperspectief”, decides about programming and is responsible for the final advice to government leaders about subsidies. The project's organisation is further divided into seven project envelopes, whose implementation is overseen by the provinces, and are the responsibility of the Line Committee. The Line Committee decides about ideas and proposals for implementation projects and public-private collaboration (publiek-private samenwerking, PPS) constructions for the Line.
Members of the Line Committee include:
- Mr. E.M. d’Hondt (independent chair)
- Representatives from the provinces of Utrecht, North Holland, South Holland, Gelderland and North Brabant
- Directors from the Netherlands Ministry of Economic affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and the Ministry of Defence.
