Manage+
The aim of Manage+ is to develop and implement innovative, sustainable and cost-effective models for managing and operating regenerated areas in four European countries (UK, BE, NL, DE). There are five sites, all of which were once used for industrial or military purposes and are of cultural importance.
They will be transformed into attractive visitor destinations that will serve as pilots for other regeneration projects in Europe.
The objectives
- Develop and implement innovative, sustainable and efficient methods of multi-stakeholder management and operation, for the five pilot projects
- Deliver transferable models and templates for use by other regenerated areas in Europe
- Develop training programmes for experts involved in other European regeneration
- Capitalise on assets funded by the EU or other public bodies
- Remove from public authorities the burden of the long-term operation and maintenance of sites, and encourage them to support other regeneration initiatives
